About us
Defying Conventions, Celebrating Diversity.
At Resist Art, we are a global community of artists and free-thinkers rooted in Ottawa, Canada and the world. Founded & directed by the multidisciplinary artist Dorian Shine with the support of the multicultural Oliver Harry Shine and a collective of national and international creatives from Canada, Romina Alves from Spain, and many more. Our mission is to celebrate creativity as the ultimate act of rebellion, empowering diverse voices and fostering intellectual growth within the art community.
Resist Art is a dynamic digital canvas where the essence of art and resistance converge. We're not bound by geographic borders; instead, we're a virtual global community that defies conventions and empowers artists worldwide.
In the digital realm, we've ignited an artistic platform; it's a sanctuary where artists from Ottawa, Canada, and across the world unite to challenge norms and amplify their voices through the powerful language of art, community and culture.
We invite you to explore, engage, and contribute to this virtual revolution. Whether you're an artist, a thinker, a journalist or a seeker of unconventional perspectives, Resist Art is your platform to join the rebellion and reshape the digital canvas of creativity.
Our platform operates on a volunteer-driven model, meaning that no one on our team receives monetary compensation. The submission fee (if there is) solely supports the maintenance and development of our platform, covering the costs of essential software and ensuring the continuation of our mission to celebrate and promote artistic expression.
